Global crude steel production will drop by 0.9% in 2020

In 2020, crude steel production in Asia will be 137.49 million tons, an increase of 1.5% over 2019. In 2020, China's crude steel output will reach 1053.0 tons, an increase of 5.2% over 2019. China's share of global crude steel production rose from 53.3% in 2019 to 56.5% in 2020. In 2020, India's crude steel output will be 996000 tons, 10.6% lower than that in 2019. Japan's output in 2020 will be 83.2 million tons, 16.2% lower than that in 2019. South Korea's output is 67.1 million tons, down 6.0% from 2019.

In 2020, the output of crude steel in EU will be 1.388 million tons, 11.8% lower than that in 2019. The crude steel output of Germany in 2020 will be 35.7 million tons, 10.0% lower than that in 2019.

In the CIS, production will be 102.0 tons in 2020, an increase of 1.5% over 2019. It is estimated that Russia's output in 2020 will be 73.4 million tons, an increase of 2.6% over 2019. Ukraine's output in 2020 will be 206000 tons, 1.1% lower than that in 2019.

In 2020, the crude steel production in North America will be 1011000 tons, 15.5% lower than that in 2019. The output of the United States in 2020 will be 72.7 million tons, 17.2% lower than that in 2019.

In 2020, the output of crude steel in the Middle East will be 454000 tons, 2.5% higher than that in 2019. It is estimated that Iran's production in 2020 will be 29.0 tons, an increase of 13.4% over 2019.

In 2020, the annual output of crude steel in South America will be 38.2 million tons, 8.4% lower than that in 2019. Brazil's production in 2020 will be 31.0 tons, down 4.9% from 2019.

Turkey's crude steel output in 2020 will be 35.8 million tons, an increase of 6.0% over 2019.
