On February 14, Baotou Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. organized a kick-off meeting for the 2023 pipe rolling project. Xue Jianguo, General Manager, Zuo Hongzhi, Deputy General Manager, Mi Yongfeng, technical expert, leaders of various pipe rolling plants, and members of the pipe rolling research team attended the meeting.

By January 2023, the production lines and departments directly under Baotou Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. had applied for a total of 63 improvement projects, focusing on the bottleneck value process improvement, quality index improvement, output improvement, efficiency improvement, limit specification expansion and other aspects of the current production lines. At the project kick-off meeting, the participants discussed the projects that need to be solved in the selected pipe rolling production line, comprehensively evaluated the applied pipe rolling projects from key indicators, current problems, key control measures to be taken, and estimated benefits, and finally selected a total of 9 pipe rolling projects in 2023, and carried out a one-year project research. After the meeting, the project promoters released the "2023 Baotou Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. Pipe Rolling Project List" 

At the meeting, General Manager Xue Jianguo stressed that the purpose of establishing a research team for pipe rolling is to solve on-site problems, improve personnel capabilities, and cultivate technical strength. The leaders of each pipe rolling production line are required to take the lead in person to promote the project to solve on-site problems, improve personnel capabilities in the process of work, and cultivate talent echelon in the process of project implementation.

The kick-off meeting of the key project of pipe rolling was held to determine the key project of each pipe rolling production line in 2023, at the same time, clarify the goal, point out the direction, strengthen confidence, stimulate vitality, and lay a solid foundation for achieving the production and operation objectives in 2023.
