Last week (May 31, 2020-june 6, the same below), China's steel products and semi-finished products import market remained active, and resources from traditional import sources such as India, Russia, Ukraine, South Korea and other places successively arrived in Hong Kong. New quotations kept rising this week, and were basically followed up by buyers from China or Southeast Asia. Among them, the latest quotation of Indian hot rolled coil rose by about 20 US dollars / ton to 440-445 US dollars / ton on a weekly basis, with a turnover value of about 420 US dollars / ton.

Last week, a number of non-traditional import source countries began to reach large volume deals with China. It is understood that h'aph á T, a Vietnamese steel producer, sold 120000 tons of steel billets to Chinese companies. In addition, last week Turkey and China reached a total of 45000 tons of new orders, CIF price of 420 US dollars / ton CFR, which is the first time for China to purchase Turkish hot rolled coil.
