The goal of the Glasgow breakthrough agenda steel industry is to make "near zero emission steel" the first choice in the global market, and achieve efficient near zero emission production in all regions by 2030 or before. The agenda will address innovation, procurement, standards, financing and cross cutting issues. 42 countries have launched and approved the Glasgow breakthrough agenda, hoping that the plan will become a reliable attempt to make the slightly noisy climate negotiations more coordinated and orderly.
