In September, the global crude steel output was 144.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%

In September 2021, the crude steel output of 64 countries reported to the world steel association was 144.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%.

 

In September 2021, Africa's crude steel output was 1.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 51.0%. Crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 101.9 million tons, down 14.6%. The crude steel output of CIS was 8.2 million tons, down 1.0%. The crude steel output of the EU (27) was 12.7 million tons, an increase of 15.6%. Crude steel production in Europe and other countries was 4.2 million tons, an increase of 4.3%. Crude steel production in the Middle East was 2.2 million tons, down 35.7%. North American crude steel output was 9.8 million tons, an increase of 19.2%. The output of crude steel in South America was 3.9 million tons, an increase of 17.0%.

 

In September 2021, China's crude steel output was 73.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 21.2%. India's crude steel output was 9.5 million tons, an increase of 7.2%. Japan's crude steel output was 8.1 million tons, an increase of 25.6%. The crude steel output of the United States was 7.3 million tons, an increase of 22.0%. Russia's estimated crude steel output was 5.9 million tons, down 2.2%. South Korea's crude steel output was 5.5 million tons, down 5.0%. Germany's crude steel output was 3.3 million tons, an increase of 10.7%. Turkey's crude steel output was 3.3 million tons, an increase of 2.4%. Brazil's crude steel output was 3.1 million tons, an increase of 15.3%. It is estimated that Iran's crude steel output is 1.3 million tons, down 51.4%.
