ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel mill, selectively stopped production under cost pressure

2021-10-25

On October 19, ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel mill, was implementing selective hourly shutdown due to high energy costs. It is understood that high energy prices may continue until the end of the year, which may further affect production. Similar selective shutdowns have recently been implemented at EAF steelmaking plants in Italy and Spain.
